He began performing music as a child and has continued to hone his craft into adulthood, capturing new and diverse audiences alike.
CJ Brewer was born in Brooklyn, raised in Virginia, and moved to the Greenville, SC area in 2018 and became a professional performer shortly after. He's well-connected in the SC Upstate music scene and is known as the pick-up musician because he's one of the most requested fill-in performers when artists get sick or need to cancel shows. Dependable, professional, kind, and versatile, CJ's variety and musical knowledge pair well with any occasion. He mainly performs as a soloist, but his experience playing in bands over the last decade has led to an expansive setlist that includes everything from Queen and Elvis to Green Day and The Black Crowes.
Now, he specializes in playing and singing a wide range of genres, including pop, rock, country, R&B, Motown, and funk. CJ Brewer is an expert at reading the crowd, and adapts his setlist to land at any given moment! So, whether you're looking for a laid-back acoustic set during cocktail hour, a high-energy performance to get the party started at a corporate soiree, or a nostalgic throwback to your favorite classic hits during a birthday party, CJ's repertoire has something for everyone.
